I have a degree in business.

However,

it was my father's decision

for me to pursue a business major.

He thought that

having a business degree

would make me more competitive

and provide me with more available options

in entering a global marketplace.

I took his advice.

Nevertheless,

even though my college experiences were fantastic,

I still had no interest in any field of commerce,

let alone

having a long-term career as a businesswoman.

After I graduated,

I worked as a marketing planner

at a computer company.

My pay and working environment were great;

however,

I still didn’t feel happy

doing something that I wasn’t interested in.

After two months of working there,

I made up my mind to quit

and decided to do what I love,

namely teaching English.

I have now been an English teacher

for over twenty years.

I love my job

and love being with my students.
